Mondelēz International Inc (NASDAQ:MDLZ) has announced the appointment of Amit Banati as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective 1 July 2026.

He will report to Dirk Van de Put, chair and chief executive officer, and will join the Mondelēz International Leadership Team.

Following the appointment, Luca Zaramella will continue as executive vice president and chief operating officer, with responsibility for the company’s commercial operations, including its four geographical regions, corporate sales, marketing and supply chain functions.

Banati most recently served as chief financial officer of Kenvue. Before that, he was vice chair and chief financial officer of Kellanova, formerly Kellogg Company.

He began his career at Kellogg as president for the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region, where he led regional growth and transformation before later becoming senior vice president and chief financial officer. Earlier in his career, he held management, financial and strategic leadership roles at Proctor & Gamble, Cadbury Schweppes and Kraft Foods following the Cadbury acquisition.

Dirk Van de Put said Banati brings financial leadership and commercial experience across multiple consumer businesses, and said Zaramella’s contribution over eight years as chief financial officer had helped shape the company’s financial strategy.

Banati said he was delighted to rejoin Mondelēz International and looked forward to working with the leadership team to advance the company’s strategy and profitable growth.
