Fortinet Inc (NASDAQ:FTNT) has announced the availability of FortiSOC, a unified, cloud-delivered security operations centre platform.

The new platform brings together six security operations functions in a single software-as-a-service experience. FortiSOC uses agentic AI to investigate and correlate alerts across assets and identities, then recommend or execute response actions under analyst oversight.

Fortinet said the platform is built on its existing security operations technologies and is designed to simplify and scale modern operations through one console, one subscription and one operating model.

FortiSOC combines security information and event management, security orchestration, automation and response, threat intelligence, and behavioural and identity threat detection in a single platform. Fortinet said this is intended to reduce friction between alert, investigation and response workflows while improving visibility across environments.

The company said FortiAI-Assist adds autonomous investigation, AI-generated playbooks and Model Context Protocol-powered agent coordination across alerts, investigations, threat hunting, cases and response actions. It also said the platform includes enterprise-wide telemetry and threat intelligence to coordinate activity across tools, workflows and teams.

Fortinet added that FortiSOC complements its broader SOC Platform portfolio, including FortiAnalyzer, FortiSIEM and FortiSOAR, which will continue to be developed and available. The company said the broader portfolio offers flexible pathways and purchase options for customers as they modernise security operations.

Fortinet said the launch reflects growing demand for integrated, cloud-delivered SOC platforms that simplify operations and reduce tool sprawl.
